Sports Club Start in the southern Norwegian city of Kristiansand was founded in September 1905. As of 2013, the club is back in the Norwegian Premier League and the South Arena will be their home ground.
The club is best known for football, but is also active in handball. In earlier year, the club was active within orientation, athletics, cycling, skiing and bandy.
In 2013, Start will play its 33rd season in the Premier League after rising from 1st Division in 2012. The club’s greatest achievements are winning the championships in 1978 and 1980.
